Animec oral paste is a an easy to use option which treats a range of internal parasites including small and large redworms, roundworm, lungworms, pinworms, neck threadworms and stomach bots. it is ideal to use ina worming rotation with a wormer that does treat tapeworms and encysted small redworms for longer periods, this provides great cost savings while still providing the protection required.

The active ingredient in Animec oral paste is ivermectin and it contains 18.7mg/g of it to provide a potent formula that is very effective. Each syringe contains 7.49g of paste and can treat horses up to 700Kg, the syringe is divided up into easy to use dosage sections which each section equating to 100kg of body weight. Please read the product datasheet before administering the wormer and only use the product as directed.

Dosage

One syringe division of Animec oral paste per 100 kg body weight (based on a recommended dosage of 200 microgram ivermectin per kg body weight). The total contents of a syringe (seven divisions) will dose one 700kg horse. The paste is given by oral route. The product can be administered to mares at any stages of pregnancy or lactation.

The weight of the horse should be accurately determined for the correct use of the paste. The animal’s mouth should be free from food to ensure swallowing. Turn the screw gauge on the syringe plunger to the bodyweight of the horse.

The tip of the syringe barrel should be inserted at the interdental space (the gap between the front and back teeth) and the paste deposited on the base of the tongue. Advance the plunger as far as it will go, depositing the medication on the base of the tongue. Immediately elevate the horse’s head for a few seconds to ensure swallowing.
