Wanted this dog crate for my daughters French Bulldog for when we are on our narrowboat, we chose purple as that is an accent colour of the boat. Firstly the service was excellent, initially emailed about the product and had a prompt reply and then ordered it and dispatch and delivery were very prompt too. The product itself is very well constructed and very strong. The added feature of the hooks on the door help to strengthen the closed door when there is only one latch. We’ve used this on a few occasions already and are impressed with it – would recommend it to everyone

Already had a crate of this make. Was a first choice for a second one. Like the weight of the metal used compared to same which are so flimsy. And it is purple!

Ordered a Red crate, “Flame Red” and was expecting the colour in the picture ie bright red….Order arrived and the colour of the crate is a dark burgundy! very disappointed ! it won’t match my dogs, collar, bed, accessories so its going back, I simply do not like it, I chose bright red for a reason. I spoke to Hawthorns who were great , and they went an opened another box and agreed with me the colour was not true to pictures advertised. They will be feeding back to their supplier. Be warned people, you might want to see this crate in person rather than online.

They come to us in a box so we do not see the actual crate, grateful for Emma’s understanding and for pointing out the issue so we could put it right,
